NFL Concussion Settlement
We all know that football is a rough sport. Playing in the NFL is the pinnacle of roughness. With that roughness comes injury. Sometimes those injuries aren’t realized or don’t really become apparent until later in life. Such is the place the NFL has found itself in now. After years of covering up the seriousness of concussions, the NFL has finally realized that it is time to pay.
Recently, medical science has made breakthroughs in linking repeated head trauma to cognitive issues later in life. As a result, the NFL has entered into a settlement for past players. Any player that has one-half of an eligible season is can participate. Even if you are not currently showing signs of cognitive issues, you can still participate in the NFL Baseline Assessment Program. We will continue to monitor your health and in the event that we can recover monetary damages for you under the terms of the settlement, we will.
Retired NFL Players maybe suffer from the following illness related to repeated head trauma and concussions:
- Parkinson’s Syndrome;
- Memory Loss;
- Changes in Personality or Mood;
- Mental Illness;
- And Other Cognitive Defects
